The Con is ON

Returning to Comic Con this Wednesday.  Thanks to my good friend Dan Cooney for opening up his booth to me, Jeremy Saliba, and Nicolas Villarreal.  This will be an amazing show - and that’s not just hyperbole.  I’ll be trafficking in copies of Worlds Apart, shaking hands, and promoting new projects.  So, if you’re at SDCC, then please at least stop by and take one of the aforementioned handshakes.  You’ll be able to find all of us at Booth 5530:

Updating the Projects: Living & Dead

Just this morning had to turn down an opportunity to stage my one-act Ophelia Unlimited in San Francisco in September.  This came out of the blue and would have been a great opportunity, but having only 7-8 weeks to mount the show seemed ill-advised.  That said, the offer did stir the notion of putting the show up next year, something I’ll likely make time for.

Wrapped the first draft of my werewolf-in-prison screenplay over the weekend and sent it to an interested colleague.  Not much more to say on this at this time, but there’s a chance the project might have some traction.

Starting to receive character designs for Wavelength, my forthcoming graphic novel from Committed Comics.  Looking good.  Glad this project is sincerely moving forward.  I’ll be meeting with all the folks involved when I’m down in San Diego at month’s end.

I should have some artwork to show on here in the next couple weeks for the still untitled Weird Western comic that Jeremy Saliba and I are developing.  I’ve seen his early work and - unsurprisingly - it looks amazing.  Will definitely have some images up here before Comic Con.

Speaking of Comic Con, my next couple weeks will be spent prepping.  We will be selling more copies of Worlds Apart - table number and location still TBA - and dusting up interest in the Weird Western.  I’m sure I’ll pour myself into more writing - a few other projects are crying out for attention, so we’ll see which baby seems the cutest and maybe pick that one up for a few.

What I’m Working On…

Putting the final polishes on a creator-owned comic proposal that Jeremy Saliba and I will be shopping around later this summer.  Supernatural Western.

Early stages of development on an expansive Sci-Fi comic, again with Mr. Saliba.

Most of June will be dedicated towards finishing up a draft of my werewolf-in-prison screenplay.  There’s a smidgen of interest in this from an industry friend, hence my motivation to revisit it.

Wondercon is Nigh!

If you’ll be at Wondercon this weekend, here’s where you can find me, several of the artists, and a few dedicated volunteers as we unveil Worlds Apart.

The book formerly known as Untitled Spring Anthology now has a title.  And five different covers.  Here’s the first one.  I’ll be showcasing a different cover each week, leading up to the book’s release at Wondercon in San Francisco.  Artwork here is by Jason Newhouse.
